With 20 years of litigation practice under her belt, Sunita has a varied exposure to a range of areas including civil, commercial, family, employment and industrial practice, probate, trusts, mental health and land disputes making her a “go-to” person for dispute resolution. Her strategic approach to dispute resolution produces desired results for litigants. She is the Managing Partner of Messrs Liza Khan & Sankey.

She specialises in mediation, negotiation and arbitration. She is an Accredited Mediator, an Associate of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators. She frequently appears in the High Court and Appellate Courts.

Sunita has served on the Bar Council’s and KL Bar’s Continuing Legal Education, Human Rights, Environmental and Court Liaison sub-committees. She presently serves on the Bar Council’s Mediation sub-committee.

NORLIZA RASOOL KHAN obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2000.

Liza’s main area of practice is litigation. She also has experience in international arbitration and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She has accumulated experience in a broad range of matters involving joint venture disputes, company law & securities litigation, insolvency and receivership laws, interlocutory reliefs, specific performance claims, administrative law matters, land acquisition matters, rating appeals, insurance matters, tenancy disputes, tort disputes including defamation, breach of trust and negligence and probate matters.

She was also seconded to the Securities Commission where she handled aspects of administrative law as well as civil enforcement litigation involving the securities industry.

Liza was nominated and listed as a finalist for the coveted Woman Lawyer of the Year Award 2017 presented by ALB. Legal 500 has described her as a key figure that handles high–profile cases across a broad range of industry sectors, often in the Court of Appeal and Federal Court.

Khor Wei Wen obtained his LLB (Hons) Degree from the University of London in 2016 with a 2nd class upper division. He was called to the UK Bar in 2017 and thereafter admitted as a Barrister at Law of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2018.

His areas of practice include contractual and commercial disputes, land disputes, administrative law matters, tortious disputes (defamation, negligence, trespass, nuisance etc), employment matters, family law matters and tenancy disputes. He also does criminal law matters and probate matters.

Law is his passion and he is committed to the legal professions. During his studies, he joined the UWE Law Court Clinic and worked at the Bristol Civil Justice System. Thereafter, he joined the Marshalling Programme in Bristol Court where he worked under His Honour Judge Horton. After his pupillage and prior to his admission to the Malaysian Bar, he participated in the Marshalling Programme at the Kuala Lumpur High Court where he was placed under several High Court Judges.

In his secondary school days, he held several position which include among others, Head Prefect and President of Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah.

In his spare times, he hikes, reads and plays basketball.
